Dear colleagues:
NCHE is pleased to announce the arrival of a new NCHE staff member: Kenya Haynes, Program Analyst, khaynes@serve.org
Kenya joins NCHE with many years of experience in the field of education, including
- 6 years as the Wyoming State Coordinator for Homeless Education
- 12 years as the Wyoming State Coordinator for the Title I, Part D Education of Neglected or Delinquent Youth Programs
- 12 years as the Wyoming State Liaison to the U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights
- 12 years as the Wyoming State Title IX Gender Equity in Education Coordinator
- 5 years as a classroom teacher
While the above provides you with highlights from Kenya's resume, it does not do justice to the full depth and breadth of her professional work and expertise.
Kenya's portfolio of work at NCHE will include technical assistance focused on improving homeless education program planning and implementation, and supporting cross-systems partnerships through NCHE's work with HUD-funded Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP) communities.
Please join us in welcoming Kenya to the NCHE team!
Best,
Christina Dukes, Federal Liaison
